Staged Readings

Our staged readings began with the desire to create a safe working environment where actors, directors, and playwrights can collaborate and learn from each other. We have produced full length plays and excerpts from scripts, screenplays, and podcast episodes.

Each short rehearsal process culminates in a relaxed reading in front of an audience in spaces as varied as a nail salon, a Pilates studio, a backyard in Flatbush, and traditional theater spaces.

The pandemic brought these readings online, where we were able to connect to artists and audiences from around the world.

Music Gatherings

These gatherings began with a question to our audience: what to you want to see more of?

Thus began Unplugged, a new music series that has acted as a company fundraiser and social gathering space for indie musicians and their adoring fans. These backyard soirees are becoming a cherished past time for our community due to the diversity of talent, open mic opportunities, and copious wine.

During the pandemic, Unplugged became Plugged In. This series brought living room concerts to our quarantined audiences and became an uplifting way to stay connected during very troubled times.

Script to Screen

This series was born out of the pandemic and was the brainchild of PTC frequent collaborator, Meade Morrison. We wanted to give playwrights, actors, and editors an opportunity to be creative while in quarantine. We have used this medium to promote our virtual and staged readings as well as shine a different perspective on holidays and events.
