Synopsis:
The Irish Border has been locked off. Now a crime for civilians to cross over between Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland, illegal trespassers are detected by high-tech sensors, and captured by military drones.
In search of her missing boyfriend, Dublin native Keeva, smuggles herself across the border into Northern Ireland. Injured in a drone attack, she hides out in Armagh local, Rowan’s, pub cellar. Both never having met a person from their neighbouring countries before, Keeva and Rowan form an uneasy alliance, dispelling lies and misinformation they’ve been fed all their lives, by their home states.
As Keeva’s condition worsens, Rowan has a choice to make - hand her into the authorities, or help sneak her into Belfast, where Keeva’s boyfriend is rumoured to be imprisoned. With growing calls for the Irish border, now more commonly known as The Zig-Zag, to be re-opened, will this one act of friendship be enough to inspire change? Or will Ireland be forever divided?
